In this series, I have used circular compositions to draw the viewer's attention into the center of the image. Referencing peepholes, orb gazing, and Renaissance-era tondo painting. The use of light and composition is noteworthy. The placement and intensity of the light sources are carefully controlled to create striking contrasts between light and shadow. 

The title "River of Shadows" is a metaphor for emotional experiences, which are complex, ever-changing and fluid.  By leaving details in shadow and veiling the unknown,  a sublime tension invites the viewer to contemplate.
